Argentina: Ana Juan Congresos www.anajuan.com

"Also just to say thank you so much for being so incredibly well organised, for being so serene when things were manic around you - the sign of a true professional!! I have worked on 3 BirdLife world conferences over the past 12 years and this was the biggest one for us as you probably know and we are extremely impressed by you and your colleagues PCO skills.
Kind regards"

Trish Aspinall, The BirdLife International World Conservation Conference & Global Partnership Meeting

The XXI World Congress of Dermatology, held under the auspices of the International League of Dermatological Societies, took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October.

This was a hugely successful five day Congress and it must be noted that a large part of this success was due to the professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment of the organizers, Ana Juan Congresos, which managed the Congress with apparent ease, showing enormous experience in this field.

We would have no hesitation in appointing Ana Juan Congresos again should we have the opportunity.

Prof. J.‐H. Saurat, MD President of the ILDS

On behalf of the Council of the World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine, I wish to congratulate you and your team for the excellent contribution Ana Juan made to the success of the 9th World Congress held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I know that a tremendous amount of work was put in, not just during the Congress, but also in the preceeding 6 years. It is easy to forget just how much preparation and hard work is required to make a successful Congress.

The Ana Juan team were a credit to your organisation. They carried out their tasks with a great deal of efficiency, were helpful, courteous and always looked extremely smart. …………

Jose Besso, World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine President

I feel well qualified to remark on my impressions of Ana Juan. Due to a number of extenuating circumstances impacting the Congress, our interactions had more dimensions than usual. I saw your performance at both the local and international level. I saw you work in good times and not so good. I experienced the professionalism and was always impressed with that and the ability of the Organization to adapt and to be realistic. Finally, at all times there was a humanity about the planning and execution of the congress that remains memorable.

It is a privilege to be able to vouch for such a strong, experienced and open partner in this situation.

Frederick Naftolin MD, PhD, FACOG, FRCOG, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
New York University School of Medicine, 11th World Congress of Menopause

On a personal level, Ana Juan and her staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ana Juan Congresos for the organization of a conference of similar size and nature.

Mrs Jean Wright, International Menopause Society (IMS)
IMS Executive Director

I wanted to thank you and the wonderful staff at Ana Juan Congresos for the hospitality and kindness shown me and my wife during our recent visit to Buenos Aires for the RADLA 2005. We are most grateful for your friendly, sincere and competent professionalism.

Australia: ICMS Australasia www.icmsaust.com.au

ICMS Australasia showed professionalism and efficiency in their dealings with the local organising committee throughout the two years. They also demonstrated vast experience in the organisation of conferences. The conference was a resounding success. We reached our target number of registrations and exceeded our target income from sponsorships and exhibitors.

Dr Sandra Hale, Chair, Critical Link 5

“I received LOTS of wonderful compliments about ICMS Australasia including how professional and friendly you were. You were absolutely fantastic and everyone commented on how smooth and organised the conference was.”

Nicole Kessissoglou, Chair, 14th International Congress on Sound and Vibration

“A number of ministers commented to me that this was the first meeting (and they have attended many meetings) that went perfectly from a technical and organisational point of view. The Premier’s Office also passed on congratulations for a job well done.”

Zena Armstrong, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate Inaugural Ministerial Meeting

ICMSA made an important contribution to the success of the event, providing high quality support for the keynote Ministerial meeting, the business reception and the press conference. ICMSA staff worked closely and co-operatively with officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, NSW Government Premier’s Department, NSW Government House and the NSW Police. I was impressed by the courtesy and responsiveness of your staff to the many requests made by DFAT in the preparations and running of the event, and by their unfailing ability to deliver the required outcome. Their co-operative and collegiate approach throughout was greatly appreciated.

Jan Adams, Ambassador the Environment, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate

“I am writing to thank you and your team for the superb effort, superb organisation, and the superb conference you delivered. I am extremely grateful for your help, friendship, advice and efficiency. It was a great conference and we have received nothing but praise about your organisation and effectiveness."

Ian Caterson, Co-Chair, 10th International Congress on Obesity, Sydney

“Your organisation provided us with a fantastic meeting. Since the meeting I have had such a wonderful stream of compliments which all basically said ‘the best IAPD Congress ever.’ We were thoroughly impressed with your organisation from top to toe."

Associate Professor Richard Widmer, IAPD Chairman,
20th Congress of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry, Sydney

“I write to express my grateful thanks for your participation in this congress. From our point of view on the Organising Committee it was wonderful. We heard echo’s of the Sydney Olympics, that it was “the best Congress ever”.
As you know there are many important aspects in the staging of a successful World Congress but the key to this in my view is the Professional Conference Organiser. I have no doubt that the involvement of ICMS from the bid process, the bid itself in London in 2001 and throughout the last four years contributed significantly to the success of this World Congress. The continuity, professionalism and ability of your team to suggest and adopt novel and innovative approaches to make this congress something special was truly outstanding and impressed all of us on the Organising Committee. In this regard there was a sense of mutual excitement between your professional team and our oganising committee that combined most enjoyably to produce this outcome. On behalf of the full Organising Committee, both those members from the World Federation of Neurology and those of the Australian Association of Neurologists, I must congratulate you and your team on their efforts.”

Dr W M Carroll, President, World Congress of Neurology, Sydney

“ICMS worked tirelessly in a very tight schedule, including during the difficult Christmas/New year period, to deliver a truly amazing and inspirational forum which produced outstanding results. The conference was a resounding success. Participants acknowledged the sensitivity of all facets of the organisation and the efforts that ICMS in particular had put in, to accommodate the requirements of the large numbers of participants with disabilities.”

John Trevillian, Assistant Director General, Office of Protocol & Special Events
“Making Connections” - The Premier’s Forum on Spinal Cord Injury & Conditions

“Our Congress was the largest ever medical conference held in Australia. It attracted twice the attendance of any previous World Congress of Anaesthesiologists and was proclaimed a grand success in all terms by the great many delegates, participating exhibitors and multinational corporations who support the event. Of particular note was the ability of your company to efficiently handle every aspect of the Congress under a single banner, including the very large Scientific Programme, the Industry Exhibition, the Promotional and Registration process, the Audio-Visual services, all publications, the major events of the Social Programme and too many other roles to list here.”

Dr Richard Walsh, Chairman, Congress Organising Committee,
11th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists

Denmark: DIS Congress Service A/S www.discongress.com

I am addressing you in regard to the recent ISMC held here in Copenhagen where DIS was a significant partner in terms of project assistance of all stages of the Symposium arrangement, including participant registration.

It is our experience that DIS, without exceptions, conducted tasks with care and reliability. They always met our expectations to our full satisfaction.

I therefore wish to express my thanks for the great effort of DIS prior to and during ISMC and I hereby have the pleasure of conveying my very best recommendations.

Spain: Grupo Pacifico www.pacifico-meetings.com

I am writing to formally thank Grupo Pacifico and in particular Beatriz Roca, for your help with our reception during the LNG15 conference.

From the moment that we engaged with Beatriz and her team, no request was ever too much. Her professionalism and commitment to us in delivering a first class event was outstanding. She displayed great understanding of our requests and requirements, which were many over the months we worked together.

The team were enthusiastic and well organised during the event, and I have received many comments from guests, BP staff, and our hostess Anne Quinn (Group Vice President Gas, LNG and NGLs at BP), on how the venue, food and entertainment were first class.

Please convey our thanks to all concerned.

Rosie Gardner, Global Gas Marketing & Communications Manager, BP

United Kingdom: Meeting Makers www.meetingmakers.co.uk

On behalf of Valerie, Stephen and myself, I'd just like to say what a fantastic job all the Meeting Makers staff did last week in Brighton. They handled the whole event (including us) very professionally, and made the conference run smoothly and successfully. We particularly appreciated the support they gave to the three of us - especially during the pressure peaks from Saturday to Monday - and the friendly way in which they dealt with everyone.

We couldn't have done this without all the Meeting Makers' help and guidance that we had from the beginning to the end of the process, and it's genuinely been a real pleasure working with you all.

Professor Roger K Moore, Chair, International Conference on Spoken Language Processing - Interspeech

Thanks for all your efforts over the past few months and especially the last week. I have had lots of emails saying how much people enjoyed the conference which wouldn't have been a success without you and the rest of the Meeting Makers team.

Ruth Bastow, Chair, International Conference on Arabidopsis Research

Congratulations on a great show last week. I heard only compliments and that is a great achievement for you and your team given the complexity of the arrangements and size of the congress. Please give everyone my personal thanks.

Thanks again for all you have done for IASP.

Professor Sir Michael Bond, Chair of the World Congress on Pain

I was recently involved in the organization of the XXIInd Congress of the International Primatological Society (IPS) at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. The meeting, attended by over 1200 delegates from more than 50 different countries went very, very smoothly, especially those portions that directly involved Meeting Makers personnel. I feel that they did an excellent job of keeping us on track and I was in awe of their calm and composure during the typical pre-meeting frenzy during the two weeks immediately preceding the Congress. Their ability to effortlessly handle potentially problematic situations helped us to remain calm during a volatile time. This was a benefit to us and our Society that is difficult to quantify, yet is greatly appreciated.

In summary, it was a pleasure working with the Meeting Makers staff. Their efforts were directly responsible for the positive experiences that I and our Society’s members had at the Congress.

Should I have the need to organize another conference in the UK, I would definitely use Meeting Makers.

Dr Steven J Schapiro, Treasurer and VP for Membership, International Primatologial Society
